Rules of the use
The Analytical Center (CAQ) at the Federal University of Jataí (UFJ) is a multi-user laboratory that provides spectroscopic, electrochemical, and chromatographic analyses to both internal and external users. It operates under the coordination of the UFJ Research and Innovation Office (PRPI/UFJ) and follows specific regulations to ensure proper management and use of its equipment and resources.
Management and Responsibilities
CAQ is managed by a committee led by a professor-researcher, responsible for maintaining equipment, planning upgrades, and setting service fees. Users must register on CAQ's website to request services. The committee also oversees contracts, partnerships, and financial administration to sustain and expand the center.
Equipment Use
The equipment is available to researchers from public and private institutions. Usage must be scheduled in advance through an online form. Equipment time is distributed as follows: 70% for UFJ researchers and 30% for external users. Each researcher is allowed a maximum of three consecutive days of equipment use unless an extension is approved by the responsible professor. Prior experience or training is required before using the equipment.
User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for collecting and interpreting their own data. If specific reagents or materials are required but not available at CAQ, the user must provide them. Any publications resulting from the use of CAQ equipment must acknowledge the center to justify past and future investments.
Final Provisions
Any unaddressed situations will be reviewed by the CAQ Steering Committee, ensuring that all procedures align with institutional regulations.
