GC Chromatograph – Mass Spectrometer

Perkin Elmer Clarus SQ8
Gas chromatograph with attached mass detector, used for separation and identification of substances. Uses capillary column, suitable for use with organic solvents.

HPLC
Shimadzu High Performance Liquid Chromatograph - LC-20A Prominence.The system is equipped with the following modules:
CBM-20A system controller; LC-20AT solvent propulsion.
DGU-20A5 degasser: Capacity for up to five different solvents in parallel;
CTO-20A column oven: Adjustable temperature;
SPD-M20A detector (photodiode array) with thermostated 10uL flow cell (5 to 50°C), 1 nm resolution.

UV-Visible Spectrophotometer
Perkin Elmer Ultraviolet-Visible Spectrophotometer - Lambda 35. Dual-beam ultraviolet-visible absorption spectrophotometer, used to measure light absorption of molecules in solution.

Allows measurements between 190 and 1100 nm, using a deuterium lamp and a tungsten lamp. Allows measurements in scan mode, routine (fixed wavelength) or cycles for evaluation of chemical kinetics, with temperature control (peltier).

FTIR Spectrophotometer
Jasco Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer - 4100 (UNDER MAINTENANCE)
Fast Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT/IR) is a fast and inexpensive technique that allows the identification of functional groups (chemical bonds) present in the analyte of interest. With this equipment, analyses can be performed on liquid or solid samples (powder, films, etc.).

Flash Point tester
Pensky-Martens Flash Point Tester - PM4
The Pensky-Martens semi-automatic closed cup tester measures the flash point at the lowest temperature at which the application of an ignition source causes the vapors of a sample to ignite. The equipmant is suitable for flammability applications on diesel, heating oil, kerosene and other potentially flammable liquids.

Analog Polarimeter
Analog Disc Polarimeter - Edulab
Used to determine the optical rotation of optically active substances and, through this, the concentration, content and purity. Recommended for sugar, oil refinery, feed, chemical, food, pharmaceutical industries and universities in the field of research and education.
